I'm based in Phuket, Thailand. Most of my clients aren't. Here's what working as an SEO specialist out of Phuket actually looks like.
Local market: small but interesting. Hospitality, real estate, healthcare, and a growing tech scene. Most local businesses still under-invest in SEO, which means there's real ground to cover for ambitious operators.
Regional context: Southeast Asia is a multilingual SEO laboratory. Hreflang, multi-region domains, and translation quality matter more here than they do in single-language markets. Lessons from this region cross over well to global multilingual sites.
Global delivery: clocks. I work with clients in the US, UK, EU, and Australia from here. The time zone overlap with Asia and the EU is decent; with the US it requires intentional scheduling. Async delivery is the default, sync calls happen on purpose.
If you're in Phuket and want help with SEO, get in touch. If you're outside Phuket and want help with SEO, also get in touch. The geography stopped mattering years ago.
